He took is APFT today 6 Aug 2014 and failed for the first time. Before that he did 2 diagnostics and pass both of them. The day he took his APFT just wasn't his day. So since then he was flagged and now they are trying to delete his orders. My question is can a commander delete drill sergeant orders for school without valid reasoning beside first apft failure? Im tring to figure out why not defer the soldier to give him more time to prepare himself in that area? He's really not bad off in PT, this morning just wasnt in him. It happens sometimes. I wanted to do it. If not then your really setting this NCO up for failure... I also cannot remember the last time I scored less than 295. I scored a 298 5-months after shattering my lower leg and cracking my knee.

In my opinion there is absolutely no reason to fail. If you are ill then see a Doctor to prove it. Stating it was not my day does not cut it. At a minimum you should keep yourself at the 80% range because when you attend a school there are no breaks.
