So, if he/she finds a CA slot they should be able to slide in. Major is a good rank to transfer over. The recruiter should be able to help out with finding a slot.Response by COL Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 25 at 2019 7:42 PM2019-12-25T19:42:09-05:002019-12-25T19:42:09-05:00LTC Ray B. The only way would be a 38G which is based on civilian education and/or profession. 38G have experience in Public administration, Lawyers, Police, educators, public health, economics, engineers in public utilities etcResponse by LTC Ray B. There are two paths- 38G for personnel with the right degrees and experience. This path is short.<br />38A is conventional reclassification with 4 phases.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 25 at 2019 8:32 PM2019-12-25T20:32:55-05:002019-12-25T20:32:55-05:00MAJ Javier Rivera5380747<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Only the USACAPOC and the Branch Proponent can give the correct answer.Response by MAJ Javier Rivera made Dec 25 at 2019 11:49 PM2019-12-25T23:49:21-05:002019-12-25T23:49:21-05:001SG Private RallyPoint Member5381801<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Of I had to guess, I would bet only for a major coming on to a functional specialty aspect. Otherwise, they won't have the team leader experience you gain as a 1LT of CptResponse by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 26 at 2019 9:47 AM2019-12-26T09:47:03-05:002019-12-26T09:47:03-05:00MAJ Mark Steskal5382861<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Probably with caveats. There would likely be a voluntary reduction in paygrade as I found with Social Work. I would never have made back my two ranks by retirement, much less gone higher. It wasn't worth the hassle for me.Response by MAJ Mark Steskal made Dec 26 at 2019 2:18 PM2019-12-26T14:18:45-05:002019-12-26T14:18:45-05:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member5384061<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>A MAJ yes, with a grade waiver.
