The identifier only say you are a qualified 1SG in your MOS field unit slot such as 92A5M rather than 92A5O. This use to represent the difference between 1SG school and not. Today, we have SLC, and MLC that now qualify 1SGs. I have not heard as of yet a 1SG school offered, but there might be one, the Army is a big place.Response by SGM Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 23 at 2021 7:13 PM2021-02-23T19:13:29-05:002021-02-23T19:13:29-05:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member6774411<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes you have to have been a 1SG for 3 or 4 years then you can request this through your S-1Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 24 at 2021 11:30 PM2021-02-24T23:30:32-05:002021-02-24T23:30:32-05:001SG Chad Mcdaniel6780170<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes if that "M" identifier is on your ERB your retirement orders DD214 will reflect as 1SG.
