Can a non-MOSQ NCO block someone from a NG promotion opportunity? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-a-non-mosq-nco-block-someone-from-a-ng-promotion-opportunity <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So we have a National Guard unit with a non-mosq MSG in the only 92F50 slot in the state. The MSG has been non-mosq for 3 years. Now we have two E-7 fully promotable mosq Soldiers looking for an opportunity to advance. However the unit doesn&#39;t want to or cant find a new home for the MSG. Is there any regulation that doesn&#39;t allow this when mosq Soldiers are promotable into that slot? If he has been doing the job for 3 yrs and they aren&#39;t complaining, them he is doing something right. About all you can do is approach the Senior NCO and or the Commander, it may not help much. There are a lot of work arounds that the Guard does. Sometimes they will turn a blind eye to it. If that was an PFC that could get MOSQed they would be looking at getting separated most likely. Something like this is up at the state level I am sure. You are going to have to wait till that guy retires. I don&#39;t normally advocate for jumping chain, but that needs sent to some FB watchdog groups so they can report it while tagging the right chains of command...
