Either way you can contact a recruiter. It will largely depend on what your rates issue is. Thank you for your service. I will not comment on whether they can or not as each case is different. Have people with disability ratings rejoined the military? Yes. There are several stories of here on RP of just that happening. Each one is different but the thing is, you have to write the VA to give up your disability and then you have to pass MEPS. And even then you have to have a waiver or a few depending on the reasons for the disability in the first place. And then there is the fact that you might not even get that disability rating back because look at you, you are healthy enough to serve again... that is not disability.

Think long and hard before you embark on such a course. Your first stop is a recruiter and then go from there. I came back in the Army 2007 with a 60% VA rating, so it is possible. Good luck to you... It may take some time depending on what it is. You will need your actual evaluation that breaks down how you are receiveing the rate that you are. In some cases, you may even have to reduce the percentage. Like everyone else is saying though, you do want to talk to a recruiter first to see if you’re eligible or not.
