You wouldn't be in the 75th and go to RASP, you have to pass rasp to go to the 75th.
Ranger school is a TRADOC school, like Airborne and Basic training. It has nothing to do with the 75th. Anyone can attend Ranger School if your unit will send you. Ranger School is a leadership school attended by combat arms and the other branches of service. RASP is the doorway to Regiment. You need to contact 75th Ranger Regiment recruiting and talk to them. Facebook has a page for them. If you need help let me know, I still have many contacts. Good Luck! RLTW! Why would your unit send you to a school in which you couldn’t use the skill set taught. And to go to RASP, you have to be on active duty or be going active Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 30 at 2020 9:22 PM 2020-04-30T21:22:44-04:00 2020-04-30T21:22:44-04:00 SGM Bill Frazer 5839823

Since your unit has to pay for the schooling- You probably don't stand a chance in Hell of the school nor RASP. They have to have a ranger slot to get the funding. Do you know the difference between RASP and Ranger School? It sure seems like you do not.

RASP is Ranger Assessment and Selection. It is how the 75th screens and selects their candidates.

Ranger school is a small unit tactics and leadership course. The reserves have very few slots. If you are unable to figure this difference on your own with a quick google search, ask yourself how likely it is that you will do well in what is considered to be the Army's hardest school.

Your MOS states that you are a Combat Medic. I do know Active Duty Combat Medics and Reserve Infantrymen that have managed to get sent to Ranger School, but your mileage will vary by your unit's funding. It depends on getting a school seat and approved funding from the unit to send you but it is possible. RASP is the pathway to Regiment and doesn’t sound like that’s what you want.
