I would sssume it is far more likely in smaller MOSs. For instance, parachute riggers have a relatively limited number of units they can be assigned to; 42As, if assigned to a Bn or Bde, are almost guaranteed to be in the HHC; etc.<br /><br />In 2006, as a 96H, I was assigned to a tiny detachment in Florida that was part of HHC, USAIC. From there, I reclassed to 35M. A couple years after that, TRADOC rebranded their schoolhouses, and the United States Army Intelligence Center (USAIC) became the United States Army Intelligence Center OF EXCELLENCE (USAICOE). And a couple years after that, as a 35M, I was assigned to HHC, USAICOE in 2013.<br /><br />Same company, 7 years, 3 assignments, and a new MOS later.Response by SFC Casey O'Mally made Aug 9 at 2023 2:25 AM2023-08-09T02:25:30-04:002023-08-09T02:25:30-04:00SSgt Christophe Murphy8413085<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It isn't common but it happens. I personally know two guys from the 58th CEC that went on to different assignments (Korea for one, recruiting for another) and ended back in the 58th after thise tours were done. Is it odd? Yes. Possible? Also yes.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 9 at 2023 8:25 AM2023-08-09T08:25:46-04:002023-08-09T08:25:46-04:00SGT Morrison (Mike) Hogwood8413255<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground ,went to Sinai Egypt for a one year tour and went back to same unit at APG.Response by SGT Morrison (Mike) Hogwood made Aug 9 at 2023 9:42 AM2023-08-09T09:42:44-04:002023-08-09T09:42:44-04:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member8413647<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes, nothing prevents itResponse by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 9 at 2023 3:27 PM2023-08-09T15:27:08-04:002023-08-09T15:27:08-04:00SGM Bill Frazer8417002<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hell I've 2lt's come as the Company Commander!Response by SGM Bill Frazer made Aug 11 at 2023 1:29 PM2023-08-11T13:29:39-04:002023-08-11T13:29:39-04:002023-08-08T21:38:36-04:00
