Can a unit make you go to JRTC/NTC if you will be getting back less than a week before you start clearing? If not, where in writing is it?

Its local policy, not regulatory guidance.
The AR states when you have to report to post clearing.. but not number of days to clear. So check with post, and unit policy...as that is what drives time to clear the unit and post. Pay attention to the policy wording......if it uses world like "Should have 10 days provided" that is not as directive guidance as "Will be given 10 days"

SGM Erik Marquez the problem is the way he stated the question is they would have him back before he starts to clear. I think that he wants to stay back and have more time before he starts to clear.

And the answer is, it depends, on local unit & post policy. He needs to review local policy to get an answer.
His 1st question was " If not, where in writing is it?"
The answer still is, see local unit and post policy.

I work in the finance office at FWA, we're the last stop for sign off before clearing post. I give the in & out processing briefs for my section. Are you PCSing or ETSing? PCS: talk w/reassignments, they will have your 'official' timeframe required to clear. ETS: talk w/transitions. If you qualify for a travel advance, and need one, it needs to be turned in 10 days prior to your clearing appointment.

SFC (Join to see) they can, but most units I have been in didn't mess with you less than 30 days out (protocol-unwritten). I would talk to the NCO support channel and see if they can square you away then the COC if that doesn't work. Good luck.

SFC Davis, thanks you for the information. I have talked to my COC. And Support Channel. They told me it's so they can make numbers and to act like a NCO and suck it up. lol I was just checking. Thanks again for the information.
