Good Morning Sir

I really want to become an officer. I have below qualifications:

* I have Bachelors as well as my Masters Degree
* I have GT score of 110 and AFQT 73
* I have enlisted as a soldier E4 (Reserve) recently and going to BCT in Jan 2019

Below are my questions:
* How long does it take to get a Security clearance and is the security clearance required before applying to OCS school?
* Is there a age waiver possible to apply for OCS to become a Reserve Officer? I may be missing the age deadline of 34 by few months?

Thank You so much for your help.

Thank You
AJ

You will not be eligible to be an officer without a U.S. citizenship. Best of luck to you!

There are waivers depending on how much the Army needs officers that year. The requirements for OCS are announced every year by a MILPER. You should pull up the last one and you will find all your answers there.

Yes there are waivers, but why didn't you just go straight for OCS?
Are you planning on applying for it as soon as you get out of AIT?

Thank You so much for your response.
My case is little complicated. I am not a US citizen so have enlisted in the Army. I will get my Citizenship by Sep next year and then may be have to apply for clearance which will take another year. After that I will be able to apply for OCS :(
I am not sure if there is any other way to become an officer? Please advise.
