You dont want that extra attention. I went to Benning in &#39;09 and for some reason we had a SGT in with us. He was put in charge of everything and it was clear he was a target for the DSs. He didnt too well, but of course graduated. If you’ve earned a CAB, jump/aviation wings, combat patch, and you’re authorized to wear them, proudly do so. Our profession isn’t one of games and deception. Yes, more will be expected of you, but take the opportunity to capitalize on that. And although you may be a SPC, if you blast a PVT, be prepared to be demolished by a DS; in basic/ait your rank as a SPC holds no weight, you are a trainee like everyone else.
