SFC Private RallyPoint Member 6707680

Back in 2010-2011, I participated in some air assault missions while deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. I learned recently that this would qualify me to wear the Arrow Head device on my Afghan Campaign ribbon. However in looking at my ERB, IPERMS, IPPS-A, or DD-214, this device is not on here. I spoke to a few members of that unit I deployed with and they don't have it either. According to the wiki for the device, individual credit is tied to the assault credit for the unit. Can anyone help me in locating if the Unit has assault credit for the missions, or a way to go about getting that for the unit? this would allow many individuals to wear this arrowhead if I'm successful in getting this pushed through. The trouble is this is from 10 years ago so I know its a long shot.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrowhead_device

Arrowhead_device

Can anyone assist in acquiring Arrow Head device for campaign medal? 2021-01-31T02:57:41-05:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 6707680

Back in 2010-2011, I participated in some air assault missions while deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. Arrowhead devices are for assaults during the initial invasion. You would’ve had to have jumped in October 2001. Arrowhead which will reference Chapter 7, Section IV, 7–24. Assault-landing credit-arrowhead device., a., (3) Make a helicopter assault landing into enemy-held territory as a part of an organizational force carrying out an assigned tactical mission. Then b., c. You will need to know if the SAC (senior Army commander) 3 Star or higher in the theater of operations approve combat assault-landing credit for the purpose of qualifying for the arrowhead device. Your unit should have maintained a master by-name roster of Soldiers who participated for
record purposes. HRC would have published a DAGO (Department of the Army General Order) and the DAGO would announce the assault-landing credit. Point being, if you rate the arrowhead device then there will be a paper trail. Hope this helps, if you rate it, I personally hope you do not give up looking for the DAGO. HRC will have a record of it. Always Forward! Response by SFC Shawn Warren made Feb 15 at 2021 6:08 AM 2021-02-15T06:08:13-05:00 2021-02-15T06:08:13-05:00 2021-01-31T02:57:41-05:00
