The intent with this post is to locate individuals with earnest experience in securing OCONUS contractor work - I'm definitely interested.  I'd appreciate tips, advice, experiences, reommendations, what-have-you in acquiring that ever-elusive first overseas job.  I have a bachelors in finance and have had a TS/SCI adjudicated twice (I separated in 2013 and, other than a public trust background through the IRS and a valid TWIC from truck driving, have not possessed an active security clearance).  Recently submitted my resume for a re-write through dangerzonejobs.com, but am still waiting on it.  I realize this is a rather wide net to cast but looking for good intel on how to get my butt on a plane and have some legit international experience.  My goal is a position in accounting/finance or intel, but at this point my ears are open.

I’ll see if I can get in touch with some of my friends for you, and if they have gone this route, they will be great contacts for you. I’ll see what I can do brother, and find you on here if I find out anything.

Strength and Honor!

Good afternoon Mr. Eric K., how are you doing today. If you want, send me your email and I will send you a super long list of the different contracting companies out there......... I got my foot in the door by doing security since it has a high turnover rate........ Once you are in, it's easier to move around........... But contracting is basically luck and networking. It's basically who you know who can get your foot in the door....... Remember once you start with a company no matter how good or bad, ensure you fulfill your contract and finish. The contracting world seems big, but it's a small world where people know people. Once your name gets out in a negative light, you may potentially be blackballed from working with other companies.......... Honor contracts and don't burn any bridges you may have to run back across one day............
