Was it worth it? Do you regret it? Benefits? Drawbacks?

I'm always looking to further my career and at this point in time, I'm wanting to shift away from Logistics. I've spent the last 5 years or so in this field between the enlisted side and the officer side. I just feel that it's time for a change. As a former QM Officer who transfer to PSYOP. All from a Regular Army perspective, not Reserve.

1. It is an assesion process. You need to apply IAW the proper MILPER Message.
2. If selected on the Army SOF board, the you’ll attent the PSYOP Assessment and Selection course at Ft. Bragg.
3. If selected, then you’ll PCS for the Captains Career Course followed up by the PSYOP training pipeline. Somewhere there you’ll attend jump school if not already qualified.

Now the fun part. Once you complete the course becoming a 37A, you’ll be assigned to either one of the PSYOP Groups; 4th or 8th. Once at the operational level, you’ll take over a PSYOP Team and get ready to deploy (PSYOP teams are deployed all over the world; not only CENTCOM AOR) within a year of not sooner. That’s an 80% probability. Don’t worry, your Troops will be all over it! Is a fast paced environment but very rewarding. I do not regret it a bit, but the opposite. Were I a young man again that's the door I would be trying to kick in! Best of Luck.
