You’re on rotation every 2 or so weeks. When you’re not on rotation you play as an indigenous force.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made May 5 at 2018 11:10 PM2018-05-05T23:10:46-04:002018-05-05T23:10:46-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member3603765<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If you’re assigned to Blackhorse, expect up to 10 days serving as OPFOR per rotation, with 10 rotations a year. Additionally, you’ll still have to complete all requisite tables for your own MOS. Generally, you’ll get one or two refit days during the rotation so you can grab a shower and some real food, and at the conclusion of the rotation you’ll have a three day weekend and a four day weekend followed by a planning week then back to the box. <br />I’m on the other side of the house as an OC, but I love the assignment.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made May 5 at 2018 11:38 PM2018-05-05T23:38:57-04:002018-05-05T23:38:57-04:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member3603806<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>11th ACR. I was assigned to the MILPO there (yes I was a REMF) back in 94. Lots of time in the field but also lots to do off post as long as you have a reliable POV. Vegas, LA, San Diego all an easy drive away. Just remember to shake your boots out good in the morning thanks to all the scorpions.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made May 9 at 2018 12:58 PM2018-05-09T12:58:15-04:002018-05-09T12:58:15-04:00SSgt Dominic Gioffre5970386<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My old Guard Unit wore the same patch and we were considered their 3rd Squardron. We were OPFOR. It’s in the middle of the desert, about equally far from LA and Vegas. I remember a 6.6 earthquake on one of my drill weekends.
