Can anyone tell me about MOS 68J? What is the job like and where can they be stationed, etc.?

68J can be stationed pretty much anywhere there is a US Army hospital, a BCT, and even a Special Forces unit (if you want to be airborne, best of the best). It is a great job as long as you make the best of it. Try going SOF if you can, you won't regret it.

Good MOS. You can be stationed any where from a garrison hospital, MED LOG, CASH, or down to a TMC. Thing to remember is to keep the Dr's happy but don't let them run over you. Research skills are a must. I was the NCOIC of the MEDLOG in Kosovo and had to rebuild all of the Ortho kits. Had to look up all of the parts because most kits are under contract and a company representative takes care of them, not down range. You picked a good MOS.

It depends on you its stock and requisitions of medical supplies. The upper echelon focus on planning, documenting and assisting units with medical supplies. You can be deployed and will work with Aviation, Transportation and Infantry often because your job require you thinking of ways to get supplies to the user. Promotion is hard so stay focused on school, physical fitness and talking to all leaders on ways to help their organization and you will do well.

Hey I am a 68j Sgt the u can be station any where that has a hospital at any military base. It is hard but fun and it is a job that u can use on the outside as a back up. But there our bmso which is field units hospitals, and dentacs. Ait is only 5 weeks and there is 2 main systems that are used dcam and dmlss

It's a medical supply, that is my current MOS, and it's ok.

I kinda disagree with SFC, it's only hard if you stay reserves or Guard. If you decide to go active then it would be easier. Depends on your unit as well.

I have been a 68J for 20years it's a fantastic mos and there is a ton of places you can be stationed basically anywhere I loved Germany I was there 4 times it is a great job and it's a straight shot to Sergeant's major
