Can Branch put me in assignment as DS with return orders to Ft. Leonard Wood, to where I just PCS’d?

SSG Private RallyPoint Member Unless something has changed since DEC 2013, a return assignment is not given or part of a DS assignment.
It will come as a PCS notification like any other 2/3 though your tour or so.

If your asking, after 3 years at Fort lost in the woods, could an assignment to your present duty station be offered the answer is absolutely it may be one of the choices offered.

Sgt Dinkins, when I was a Drill Sergeant back in 05-07, DS were from two sources.those that were Selected and those that volunteered and selected. Those that volunteered were able to select their follow-on assignment while those that were just selected were sent where the army wanted. You can always find out the current policy by looking up the regulations concerning Drill Sergeant program.

Call your MOS Branch and the Drill SGT Branch, the worse they can say is NO. You will never know unless you make those calls.
