Can civilians mix ocp camo with everyday clothing?

I see people rocking the bdu camo all the time as regular clothes, such as bdu pants mixed with a hoodie, and sometimes with acu camo, but would this be authorized with ocp camo? I know I myself am not really supposed to mix uniform with civvies, but if I were to send a pair of pants to my little brother for example, are there any regs being violated?

BY regs they are not suppose to waer uniforms with names, rank, unit patches, badges. Now try to enforce that one- wish you luck.

There is no civilian law the dictates what they can wear. They can wear the entire uniform if they choose, they can just not gain profit from it. Meaning they can not claim to have served or still serving to gain VA benefits, discounts or momentary benefits from it under the current Stolen Valor Act of 2013 (modified in 2013, original act of 2005). A person, by law can claim to have served in any capacity so long as it is not for financial gain (fraud).

As far as sending your brother some OCP pants to rock out in, there is nothing wrong with that! Have at it.

Civilians are not subject to the UCMJ. Also, random uniform items are just pieces of clothing. Civilians can wear them without issue. Any given weekend droves of people wear them hunting, fishing, airsofting and/or paintballing. No laws are broken. The laws governing stolen valor are very specific and just wearing a piece of military clothing isn't enough to scratch the surface.
