But they also have to answer for their decisions.<br /><br />In most cases, a Company Commander who wants to deploy a medical profile will justify his decision to a BN Commander who will approve or deny. Then the BN CDR will brief the BDE CDR in a more general format. BDE CDR can still veto, of course.<br /><br />Often BN and BDE CDRs will look at the profile itself and/or get counsel from their medical rep in their decision making process. They can however make strong recommendations. In my experience I don’t know many commanders that would want to do this simply because of the risk vs gain factor.
