That particular amendment would pull the plug on a select committee investigating Planned Parenthood's activities as well.
Translation - election year play that has no chance to go anywhere but garners support (campaign contributions) in a district with no chance of flipping parties.
Washington cynicism at its best.

Actually, Sgt Tom Cunnally it may be a good thing if Benghazi and the shipment of arms from Libya to Syria is put on hold until next spring. Evidence could surface about the Syrian groups that received the arms which the ambassador and the three other American's died for over the next six months - especially if the Russians are targeting some of those groups and/or others have clearly turned towards ISIS. I would rather see the Benghazi committee working actively and uncovering stuff next summer than right now.

Unfortunately for Hillary, she has no power over congress. Even as the president, she has no power to quash an investigation. It is an overstep of presidential authority.
