Can family members stay in OCONUS after final out-processing?

I'm currently stationed in Korea with my family as a command sponsorship. I will be start out-processing from late May as TDY enroute PCS movement to CONUS. My wife would like to stay here with our two children after final out-processing till I graduate from the reclass school since she has a family here in Korea. She is a Korean citizen with permanent resident in States. Both of my children have dual citizenship. Will it be an issue for my family to stay in Korea?

They won’t receive any entitlements for Korea any more as they will no longer be command sponsored and you will likely need to pay for flights for your family if concurrent travel was not authorized

What you need is what's called a BAH waiver.

Try to ask your higher up and find out whether you can have exception to the policy for your family staying in Korea at least until you finish the school and meeting them at your pcs location

Legally, they can stay there as civilians, i.e. not SOFA, because of their citizenship status. You might not get any entitlements though.
