Can high blood pressure keep you from commissioning ? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-high-blood-pressure-keep-you-from-commissioning <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I received a medical no-go for high blood pressure during my sf physical. I was unable to receive a waiver. I was wondering if you guys think I would run in to the same issue with my commissioning physical. Check with the clinc that did your previous physical if possible. They would know the discriminators 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Mon, 15 Oct 2018 16:50:44 -0400 2018-10-15T16:50:44-04:00 Response by MAJ Byron Oyler made Oct 15 at 2018 5:01 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-high-blood-pressure-keep-you-from-commissioning?n=4048291&urlhash=4048291 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>What is your BP? I am a medic in an AMEDD unit and I am responsible for B/P readings on a daily basis. Essentially what MEDPROS will flag you for is a specific number (right? Imagine that) Anything above 140/90 is considering hypertension and unless you&#39;re on medications you will be flagged for this. I can say as a medic I will do everything in my power to be able to get that B/P down below the limits. I&#39;ve seen a variety of readings, some people just have a normally high blood pressure (typically big and tall males). Also if you &quot;cheat&quot; and put your arm above the B/P reader it can balance out the readings. I hope this helps.
