SPC Private RallyPoint Member 7012431 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I will be pcsing in a few months and I found out what unit I will be assigned to. I am etsing in 2 years and I want to stay in the same career field. I want to go other battalion since I can get more job related experience from the other battalion. I know both battalions that I newly got assigned to and the one that I want to go are equally &quot;over strength&quot; in my mos. <br />Do you think I can ask If I can change the battalion? If so, what would be a nice way to do that. Should I send an e-mail to first sergeant from my newly assigned first sergeant before I pcs? Or should I wait until I get there Thank you. Can I ask to change battalion before I pcs to another installation as a specialist? 2021-05-29T22:18:26-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 7012431 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I will be pcsing in a few months and I found out what unit I will be assigned to. In your case, you&#39;d be assigned to a CAB. Depending on your MOS you can sometimes figure out which battalion you will go to. The Brigade strength management determines who goes to what battalion. You in your current MOS have no way to know whether or not the battalion your Brigade will assign you to is over strength. Unless you have EDAS and know how to use it, you have no idea what the strengths of a given unit are. In your case there are two BNs in the CAB in Humphreys a 15R can go to, so you&#39;re going to be assigned to one of those. You can be moved around within the CAB between battalions as the Brigade sees fit. If your question is how do you get to a BN that does not have your MOS, you don&#39;t.
