You won’t be able to shoot if they do weapons qualifications though since you haven’t had the training. You’d probably be on some sort of range duty. After BOLC, I loved the active duty lifestyle I transferred over to RA. But to answer your question, I would say it depends on your Commander. I was FA and my OBC was at the end of August and out AT was in June so I did both. I spent the part of the first week with one of the battery XO’s, then I spent time with the survey team then spent the last week on the hill with the observers and in a Battery FDC. All of that gave me hands on experience with everything I was going to learn at OBC Response by CPT Brad Wilson made Aug 27 at 2020 3:47 PM 2020-08-27T15:47:17-04:00 2020-08-27T15:47:17-04:00 1LT Private RallyPoint Member 6856181 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am actually dealing with this situation right now. I was just told by APMC (who manages the STRAP program for students) that I can NOT do ECT, or even AT until I&#39;ve attended DCC. My regular unit that I&#39;m also attached to, wasn&#39;t really aware of this because they&#39;re kind of limited on all their knowledge about this STRAP program. And I think some people who responded to your question also aren&#39;t aware of how the STRAP program works.
