<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>you must be a SFC or up to be an EOA. As a SSG you can go to EOL school which I did last year it is just an additional duty unlike EOA which is an actual Billet. Sharp program is a totally different beast. I know being a SARC is a battalion level or higher I don't know the specifics on it off the top of my head. <br />AR 600-20 a good website also <a target="_blank" href="https://usacac.army.mil/schools-and-centers/sharp-academy/crsdescription">https://usacac.army.mil/schools-and-centers/sharp-academy/crsdescription</a><br />You can also search ATTRS for course requirements. <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default">

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My unit has one SSG for both SHARP and EO. It is possible. Whether it is a good thing for your unit to have less representatives is a different question.SPC Private RallyPoint MemberTue, 03 Jul 2018 11:00:43 -04002018-07-03T11:00:43-04:00Response by SSG Vik Polivka made Jul 3 at 2018 12:20 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes. I've done it. I have heard about a "reg" that did not allow it, but have never found it. I believe it is more of a recommendation, than a requirement. When in doubt, ask the EOA, and bounce it off Command Policy.SSG Vik PolivkaTue, 03 Jul 2018 12:20:57 -04002018-07-03T12:20:57-04:00Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 3 at 2018 2:30 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was an EOL and just went to SHARP. I was told by the instructors at SHARP that I could not fill both roles but I don't know if it's regulatory or a recommendation.SFC Private RallyPoint MemberTue, 03 Jul 2018 14:30:32 -04002018-07-03T14:30:32-04:00Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 5 at 2018 10:52 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>As long as it is an additional duty you can serve both roles. If you serve either in a full-time position, you won’t be able to do both. I’m currently a SARC at the Installation level at Fort Gordon. As a full-time SARC or full-time Victim Advocate, you cannot have any other additional duties duty to having to be available at all times. To serve as a SARC, you have to be an E-7, so you’ll have to serve as a Victim Advocate as an additional duty. I hope this helps SFC Private RallyPoint MemberThu, 05 Jul 2018 22:52:18 -04002018-07-05T22:52:18-04:00Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 8 at 2018 10:27 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It is discouraged to fill both roles as one- it can create a conflict of interest (as with any additional duties) hence changing POSH and secondly the functions and roles are different. Specifically the role you play as a VA when your SARC takes a case.SFC Private RallyPoint MemberSun, 08 Jul 2018 22:27:34 -04002018-07-08T22:27:34-04:002018-07-03T09:32:20-04:00
