If so, does it say anything about being allowed a POV? Otherwise, you can skip all the middlemen and contact the OCS school house at the base you will be at and ask them directly. They get placed in a fenced lot and that's the last you see of it until you graduate. So the car sits outside, tires rotting, battery going downhill, etc. So I'd say make sure you ask complete question of the schoolhouse to include what happens to the car once you get there. If you can't have it for the long haul, consider covered storage off site so you can get to it readily when you can. CAPT Kevin B. POVs are allowed; plenty of people arrived here in them. You will have the opportunity to use it as you advance through the course.
I personally was not aware before hand and thus didn't bring mine. However, I don't recall my roommate needing any special paperwork for his. 2LT Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 21 Sep 2017 18:29:26 -0400 2017-09-21T18:29:26-04:00 Response by LTC Jason Bartlett made Sep 22 at 2017 12:18 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-i-bring-pov-to-army-ocs?n=2937477&urlhash=2937477

Yes, Candidates can bring POVs at their own expense to OCS. A parking area will be made available. The POV will need to be in good working order and able to pass a vehicle inspection and have on-post stickers before they arrive to OCS in order for a candidate to use it. Candidates will not be able to access their POVs for at least the first 6 weeks.
http://www.benning.army.mil/infantry/199th/ocs/

The United States Army | Fort Benning

Fort Benning and The Maneuver Center of Excellence provide Trained, Adaptive, and Ready Soldiers and Leaders for an Army at War, while developing Future requirements for the Individual Soldier and the Maneuver Force, and providing a World Class Quality of Life for our Soldiers and Army Families! Benning OCS from 2012-2013. POVs are allowed and I highly recommend bringing it. You will not be able to use it often but there are down times in training near the end of the course to include social events your class will put together where having a POV will be helpful. As stated by7 another, there is a parking lot designated for OCS Candidates' POVs and your vehicle will be inspected during the first day or so of the course. However you will not need to get on-post stickers for your POV. Ft. Benning did away with those back in 2013 or 2014. In a worse case, I'm thinking of two options. Option one: bring a POV after Christmas leave. Option two: park my vehicle somewhere in Fort Benning about two days prior to my report date since I live in state of Georgia. LOL!! But I'll either work it out with my recruiter prior to reporting or take the first option. Did not need any special paperwork, but needs to be able to pass the usual Army vehicle inspection. After the first phase you will get to use it more often. If you are in a leadership position, or have associates that need a ride, your services may be summoned especially as you get closer to graduation. Did you contact the OCS POC to confirm? 1LT Private RallyPoint Member Mon, 02 Oct 2017 18:28:06 -0400 2017-10-02T18:28:06-04:00 2017-09-21T15:37:16-04:00
