Can I decline a military flight after deployment and get my own transportation?

I am currently deployed. I am in the reserves. I got a job and I’m looking for an apartment in TX which is a different state than my HOR. After demob, I wanted to go to TX but they are trying to force me to take a flight to my HOR. Is there any way I can decline their flight and tell them I want to get my own transportation?

If you're willing to pay your own way, then what is wrong with the military sending you to your HOR and then you fly from your HOR to Texas? And, it's not forcing you if that is what the regulations and standards state need to happen.
