<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am active duty planning to apply for ROTC ADO and I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a waiver for getting a second Bachelors Degree. I know I can just go OCS and it says ROTC is for 1st Bachelors but I don't plan on going for my MBA and my degree will be in I.T. Management from WGU. Any information would be appreciated thanks.Sat, 23 Apr 2022 21:43:42 -0400Can I get a 2nd bachelors degree through ROTC ADO?

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Check with ROTC recruiter. I am guessing no, but school can verify if you are eligible or not.LTC Eugene ChuSat, 23 Apr 2022 22:15:13 -04002022-04-23T22:15:13-04:00Response by SGM Jeff Mccloud made Apr 24 at 2022 7:40 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>In the ADO and scholarship options, the Army is paying for a first bachelors or first masters. Paying a scholarship, and even paying full pay an allowances for a second bachelors would be a waste of money under that program.<br /><br />If your intent is to use this time to seek a second BA/BS, then you are either looking at G2G non-scholarship option, where your commissioning would be based on the degree you already have, and just need to be a full-time student for the duration of ROTC, or getting a waiver to go over the credit limit to pursue a second BA/BS while enrolled in a masters program.<br /><br />Or you could just go to OCS and complete a masters in IT management online with WGU.SGM Jeff MccloudSun, 24 Apr 2022 07:40:54 -04002022-04-24T07:40:54-04:00Response by MSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 24 at 2022 11:14 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I believe the ADO program only offers the opportunity to complete a baccalaureate degree or graduate degree and be commissioned as an Army officer upon receiving the appropriate degree. It does not accommodate a second degree.MSgt Private RallyPoint MemberSun, 24 Apr 2022 11:14:32 -04002022-04-24T11:14:32-04:00Response by CPT Lawrence Cable made Apr 25 at 2022 5:55 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The short answer is no, ROTC programs and scholarships are for first degree only and the scholarships <br /> are competitive. Most ROTC programs to allow you to pursue a Masters, but not a BA/BS.CPT Lawrence CableMon, 25 Apr 2022 05:55:33 -04002022-04-25T05:55:33-04:00Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 25 at 2022 2:59 PM
