Can I get a waiver for Varicocele In right testicle?

Around 5 years ago I had a undescended testicle (Left) removed because they couldn't get it down and they "anchored" my Right testicle so it wouldn't twist on itself. Fast forward now and I'm scheduled to go to Meps next week surgery got cleared but I've noticed only what I can describe as a darker vein maybe Varicocele on my right testicle I've never had a issue with my right testicle and I regularly lift 5x a week and run 3x a week. Do you think I would be able to get a waiver? and I'm letting my recruiter know tomorrow. Any advice or insight is greatly appreciated!

I don't know if anyone here can answer that. My own ignorance makes me wonder if your condition even requires a waiver.

Here's what could happen. During the physical, the practicioner will halt your progress and flag you if there are any medical concerns that are part of some pre-determined list. At that point, the recruiter will let you know if it's something that is waiverable.

If you haven't already done so, gather all the documentation you can get from your doctors regarding your condition and treatments. If you do end up needing a waiver, you will need to produce those; night as well be ahead of the possibility

Nothing in the DoDI for medical medical standards says anything about it. But, MEPS doctor will probably want to know more. Such as sending for referral. You may end up needing a waiver. No way to know until the time comes. Good luck.

What's there to tell? You don't have a medical condition unless it was diagnosed by a healthcare provider. You should never lie at MEPS, but you should also never volunteer any information they didn't specifically ask for.

Why do you need a waiver?
I had a testicular anchor before I enlisted. It wasn't an issue.

Yes. That won’t be a problem. You shouldn’t even need a waiver. A varicocele is not a disqualifying condition.
