Can I get some mentorship on a Post Bachelors Career and academic transition? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-i-get-some-mentorship-on-a-post-bachelors-career-and-academic-transition

So here’s the background to my question.

In May of 2019 I will be taking my final 2 classes for my BS in Project Management from Embry-Riddle. In November of 2019 I’ll be approaching my Date of Separation. I’m eager to make a transition to civilian side while keeping a commitment to the military reserves. Ideally I would like to find a career either entry level corporate or in Human Resources while working an MBA program Online or during evenings. I have two children and my wife is intending to stay at home until the youngest is ready to start school due to cost of childcare. Is this a realistic objective or should I suck it up and stay enlisted for another 2 or 3 years to work on the MBA and then try to transition afterwards? Otherwise, you run the risk of getting your MBA while enlisted and coming out still looking at a semi-entry level job. Unfortunately, some companies heavily rely on experience. I think long term you will be further ahead of if you start transitioning now than waiting. Good luck! Mara Hedin Tue, 01 May 2018 10:15:39 -0400 2018-05-01T10:15:39-04:00 2018-05-01T09:52:05-04:00
