SPC Jeffrey Tamayo 5444658 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’m a prior service soldier, recently got to Fort Bliss today and I will be trying to go in process tomorrow. The question I have is can I do this if I have no uniform I have the old ACUs which I’m pretty sure won’t cut it. How would I go about In processing. Also I don’t have a current cac card, I did get a pass for 90 days though to enter base. Thank you in advance Can I in-process at Fort Bliss if I have no uniforms due to a break in service? 2020-01-14T21:20:23-05:00 SPC Jeffrey Tamayo 5444658 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’m a prior service soldier, recently got to Fort Bliss today and I will be trying to go in process tomorrow. I’m at benning as PS and just got all my stuff today, new boots, uniforms, socks, duffle bags etc. Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 14 at 2020 9:40 PM 2020-01-14T21:40:20-05:00 2020-01-14T21:40:20-05:00 MAJ Byron Oyler 5444857 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You need a CAC card to shop at Clothing and Sales and you need to in process to get a CAC card. You have no other choice but to go in civilian clothes. You should have received a memo authorizing you to draw a new clothing bag issue. By your orders and file they will know you are prior service coming back in. They will then direct you step by step in getting you squared away from getting a CAC card to getting a new clothing issue to barracks to pay and everything else. <br /><br />Basically they take it like you are a recruit and outfit you all over over again. They had done this for a while, they have this well in hand. Just take your orders to the ID center and get a new ID made. Really easy to do then you will need a memo to inprocess in civilian clothes which is really no issue. Once you get to your assigned unit they need to give you a form requesting new initial clothing issue and you take that to clothing and sales with the form and assumption of command orders from your commander. The assumption of command orders is for just in case they don’t have it on file. Entire process is fairly easy but seems stressful when your the one who actually needs it. Best of luck!
