I have a college I want to attend to in the city of Vancouver and would like to transfer to attend drills in the Washington National Guard. Would this be possible and how difficult would it be to process everything ? Will I be able to live in Canada while I attend drills in the Washington ARNG? Can I live in Canada while in the US National Guard? 2020-01-12T20:40:29-05:00 PVT Private RallyPoint Member 5438294 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Now don’t let the question mislead you. I&#39;ve been living in Canada since 2006 and I have been here since I was a captain. I would suggest you transfer to the Army Reserve because I don&#39;t think the National Guard pays for your $500 reimbursement for travel. the Army Reserve does because they validate your temporary home of record and you get a command memorandum that allows you to do a local voucher on your digital Travel Service monthly.. I have been living in Edmonton, Alberta Canada since 2006. Half the time I fly to my unit in Seattle area, I fly to Vancouver. That&#39;s what cracks me up about the army. We had a brigade come up here for a military exercise here at a base 2 hours outside of Edmonton yet everybody had to take and I terrorist level one course even though the base is secure with armed police and you are in a military exercise of 5,000 soldiers LOL!<br /><br /><a target="_blank" href="https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/news/2019/05/exercise-maple-resolve-19-canadians-and-allies-train-for-complexities-of-modern-conflict.html">https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/news/2019/05/exercise-maple-resolve-19-canadians-and-allies-train-for-complexities-of-modern-conflict.html</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/news/2019/05/exercise-maple-resolve-19-canadians-and-allies-train-for-complexities-of-modern-conflict.html">Exercise MAPLE RESOLVE 19: Canadians and allies train for complexities of modern conflict -...</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description">More than 5,000 soldiers from Australia, Canada, France, the United Kingdom and the United States completed Exercise MAPLE RESOLVE 19 which began on May 8th in Wainwright, Alberta.</p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 12 at 2020 8:48 PM 2020-01-12T20:48:36-05:00 2020-01-12T20:48:36-05:00 LTC Private RallyPoint Member 5438923 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes, I was in the national guard with a Canadian Citizen who went to college in the US but lived in Canada.
