You will still have to maintain your bunk/wallocker in the barracks while still having to do unit cleaning, inspections and whatnot aong with any other unit details like mowing the lawn.
You should probably get permission first since you and your wive cannot both draw the BAH. Army Private's aren't noted for having a lot of cash to toss away.Response by SFC Ralph E Kelley made Nov 3 at 2021 8:33 AM2021-11-03T08:33:45-04:002021-11-03T08:33:45-04:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member7348918

My understanding from years ago is they will start your BAH form your Marriage date (your spouse can't live in the Barricks with you). Confirm this with your admin or S1.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 3 at 2021 8:38 AM2021-11-03T08:38:30-04:002021-11-03T08:38:30-04:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member7349053

Does your 1SG and Commander know you are now married?

Have you submitted the paperwork to get your BAH started?

Have you submitted a copy of your marriage license to S1 to be iPermed?

If you cannot answer YES to all of the above questions, then you need to wait before you move out. Start with your NCO Chain to get these balls rolling if you have not done so.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 3 at 2021 10:25 AM2021-11-03T10:25:12-04:002021-11-03T10:25:12-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member7349352

1. Did you ask your first line supervisor/section NCO/squad leader/PSG this question before you came on here?
2. If no, why not? If yes, what did they say?Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 3 at 2021 1:22 PM2021-11-03T13:22:10-04:002021-11-03T13:22:10-04:002021-11-03T07:52:11-04:00
