You can reach out to the MOS proponent and ask for a grade waiver, you might even get one with your qualifications.

But 68C is over strength right now, so nobody can go into it. It's still over strength in the next message being released in January. There are multiple other reasons it won't happen, so let's just say it's a slightly less than zero percentage.

The only 68 series you are like to:
1. Get a grade waiver for
2. Find a class seat for when you're in your reenlistment window and
3. Have the requested MOS be under strength enough to possibly have your request get is accepted is -
68W, 68L, or 68V. The latter two require college courses. If you're not competive enough to attend college then at your time in service you are not going to catch a 68series class seat. I recommend getting some college and applying to AECP if you want to be a nurse SFC Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 28 Dec 2021 17:22:25 -0500 2021-12-28T17:22:25-05:00 Response by SFC Jay White made Dec 31 at 2021 7:00 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-i-reclassify-my-mos-as-a-cpl-to-68c?n=7451350&urlhash=7451350

If you have the adequate test scores on your ASVAB, (if they still do it this way), you can apply for any 68 series course by submitting a 4187. If you are in your re-enlistment window, you can make the course part of your contract. Which was anything to with telephones, including field phones, installing, running telephone cable, repairing the phones and cable and being a switch board operator.
I officially reclassified from my MOS in August of 1990. I pretty sure you could reclassify. Back then the MOS was called 91WM6. It meant LPN and an EMT. Good luck. I enjoyed being an LPN and helping people get feeling better. It was called "Clinical Specialist.' It was a 68 semester hour nursing course. You had to be a 91B (field medic for at least 3 years and could get in the 91C course if you re-upped and had recommendations from your commander and a Medical Corps officer(MD/DO). When I got out in 1988, the WV RN Board allowed me to take the NCLEX(RN licensure exam). The level of education was considered commensurate to an Associates degree. It has changed so much since then, I don't know what to tell you. In my Civillian career, I worked with a guy who was a retired Master Sergeant 300F-1(they are 18D, now) SF medic. He was allowed to take the LPN exam, but not the RN exam based on the amount of pharmaceutical hours and lack of bedside clinical hours in nursing. The civillian nursing licensing board doesn't recognize clinical experience in the field, and referred him to the state EMS certifying board. He was already a Nationally Registered Paramedic. I feel he got a raw deal, but he took the LPN exam and passed. He's now retired Army, retired National Guard, retired County FF/Paramedic and a retired LPN. He's got more pensions than a retirement home.
