You could go as a SPC, SPC (P), or SGT

Reclass and expand your career! I would suggest to reclass before you pick up your SGT so you have a good understanding of being an MP before you become a team leader in the MOS. It'll make you a better leader when the times comes!!

I would recommend you change MOS's as a SPC. As an NCO you will be expected to be familiar with the MOS. Starting as a SPC will give you time to learn your MOS before being put in charge of a team.

What does the regulation say? So what you can do is keep your promotable status and don't worry about it. You earned it so keep it.

I just went from National Guard to Active duty. 31B is so over strength right now that I have to reclass to become active duty.

You can reclass as an e-5. While in AIT, I had an E-5 join us for training only.
