Can I request new orders after MOS-T reclass? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-i-request-new-orders-after-mos-t-reclass <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was a 12b and decided to reclassify to 68w. In order to reclass I had to re-enlist because of the time I had remaining in my contract. Soon after re-enlisting I received a welcome letter from Alaska as a 12B but I will be a 68w. My question is after I finish my reclassification will my orders get canceled or will I be able to request to get my duty station changed? You are able to request any duty station you want that might be available at the time. You will have to speak to that Branch as soon as you receive your certification. Thank you for your service. One thing you can do is go to your S1 and provide your Welcome Letter and your Re-Enlistment Contract for 68W. They may be able to submit a cancellation of orders. This is what happened to me when I re-enlisted to go from 12B to 68W (91B back then) MSG Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 18 Jan 2019 10:53:48 -0500 2019-01-18T10:53:48-05:00 Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 18 at 2019 12:10 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-i-request-new-orders-after-mos-t-reclass?n=4297235&urlhash=4297235 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>A welcome letter isn&#39;t orders. They&#39;re just not tracking that you will be a 68W, meaning you&#39;re on assignment to Alaska as a 68W. There&#39;s a couple rules to reclass:<br />1. You can&#39;t be on assignment when you Reclass. That means you don&#39;t have orders as a 12B.<br />2. You will attend AIT in a TDY enroute status, meaning when you head to AIT you are already on assignment. <br />3. You will receive your training follow on assignment 90 days prior to training start. Of you hunt or fish, or even if you don&#39;t, you may kick yourself in the butt. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 18 Jan 2019 14:48:32 -0500 2019-01-18T14:48:32-05:00 Response by SPC Joseph McCarthy made Oct 28 at 2020 12:56 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-i-request-new-orders-after-mos-t-reclass?n=6445214&urlhash=6445214 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You’ll get new orders...the slot for Alaska is for your prior MOS not for a 42A.
