Can I revoke the GI Bill I've given to my kids in order to be eligible for an AGR position? If selected, could I transfer my benefits back?

I have been selected for the AGR OML however, after talking to HRC, I am not eligible for an AGR position due to my current ADSO for passing my GI Bill to my kids. My question is could I revoke the benefits so that my service obligation has already been met? This way I could be eligible for an AGR position. If I get selected, I could then transfer my benefits back to my kids possibly?

Yes you can revoke the GI Bill and the ADSO, unless any of the benefits were used by your dependents. I know that you can transfer your GI Bill to them while in the RC, though I don't know about on AGR. Most AGR tours are three years and the ADSO is four years, but I don't know anything about officer AGR tours.

I should point out that you can't just go in and click the revoke button. You have to formally request to HRC to rescind your ADSO and revoke the transfer.

CPT (Join to see) yes, clicking the button doesn't remove the ADSO, you will have to formally request that through the TEB branch at HRC. They are the same people who sent you the approval email
