Can I still service in the guard while getting VA disability rating?

So I was thinking of going to the guard after my active duty contract and I have sleep apnea (I use a machine) I was wondering could I still service and still receive my VA disability rating or no

Did Not Used To Be... Once You started Drawing Disability You Were Not able To Serve... But Now Things May Be Different...

A general rule of thumb,
Will service in the military make it worse?
If so, then probably not, but you can get a waiver for almost anything.
Go through the process, get the medical eval and make them tell you no. Make your recruiter work for it!

You can, but the VA compensation will not be paid during periods you receive military pay.
Typically, this is 63 days per year (48 UTAs and 15 AT).

Before I Dane back active duty I was National Guard and was receiving VA Disability. As long as you are not full-time AGR, you will still receive your disability payments. Good luck to you...

Yes. I have a 60% rating and still serving. I believe 70% is the upper limit, but I don't know for sure.

Yes you can. Depending on your rating, you will probably receive either reduced pay (compensated by your rating) or no pay due to rating (i.e., 100% VA). I knew several Soldiers that were drilling for points because their VA rating was high enough that they couldn't receive pay.
