After being in for awhile I discovered I wasn’t really happy with myself, I wasn’t myself anymore and my wife noticed. I drive more than 200 miles to drill and money from drill basically covers gas going up and not down. There’s an air national guard and army national guard near me which can save me more money. If I can switch to either one I would be glad. It’s just the marine Corp has brought me down, physically and mentally even though it was suppose to be “break you down and build you back up” I’m unhappy where I’m at and ang or arng would help me a lot more LCpl Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 02 Aug 2019 20:10:10 -0400 2019-08-02T20:10:10-04:00 Response by CPL Gary Pifer made Aug 2 at 2019 8:55 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-i-switch-from-being-a-usmcr-to-ang?n=4875555&urlhash=4875555 <div class="images-v2-count-1"><div class="content-picture image-v2-number-1" id="image-354094"> <div class="social_icons social-buttons-on-image"> <a href='https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rallypoint.com%2Fanswers%2Fcan-i-switch-from-being-a-usmcr-to-ang%3Futm_source%3DFacebook%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_campaign%3DShare%20to%20facebook' target="_blank" class='social-share-button facebook-share-button'><i class="fa fa-facebook-f"></i></a> <a href="https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=Can+I+switch+from+being+a+USMCR+to+ANG%3F&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rallypoint.com%2Fanswers%2Fcan-i-switch-from-being-a-usmcr-to-ang&amp;via=RallyPoint" target="_blank" class="social-share-button twitter-custom-share-button"><i class="fa fa-twitter"></i></a> <a href="mailto:?subject=Check this out on RallyPoint!&body=Hi, I thought you would find this interesting:%0D%0ACan I switch from being a USMCR to ANG?%0D%0A %0D%0AHere is the link: https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-i-switch-from-being-a-usmcr-to-ang" target="_blank" class="social-share-button email-share-button"><i class="fa fa-envelope"></i></a> </div> <a class="fancybox" rel="1c866d4ddabee401ee2a8f6160e479b1" href="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/354/094/for_gallery_v2/a1a25140.jpg"><img src="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/354/094/large_v3/a1a25140.jpg" alt="A1a25140" /></a></div></div>I would like to introduce you to Pvt Lynn McClure USMC ...He was beaten to death in Boot Camp by 6 recruits...I was beaten the same way in the same fighting ring but months earlier...I lived, he didn&#39;t. Act on them...you&#39;re USMCR? Use what they have for now, till you can manage, if you can manage, to get where you think you want...just remember a few adages along the way, OK? First, the grass is always greener on the other side of the septic tank (joke from a famous comic, title of a book she&#39;d written, I was always amused by that)...next, having a thing, as I&#39;ve also found out the hard way, is pretty much always a really different thing than wanting a thing...then, also, the bloom wears off the rose real fast, OK? All svcs have their limitations, all jobs in all svcs also have them, as I think you&#39;d quite rapidly find out, honest, truly, OK? Give what I&#39;d said some thought, if nothing else...as I&#39;d said, I&#39;m here, if you wanna hear more, or wanna elaborate, anytime, OK?
