Can I transfer from the Army NG back to the Marine Corps?

I served in the Marine Corps for 8 years and got out ( very dumb mistake) however, I got into the ANG and feel that it’s not the route I want to take. Any info will be helpful. Thanks in advance

I believe that you are going to have to wait until you ETS before you can try to reenlist in the Marines.

You will need a conditional release from your CoC or you will have to wait until your ETS. Following that, talk to a Marine recruiter.

Go to your recruiter and apply -- make sure you tell the recruiter you are a serving member of the National Guard. As part of the process you will need to request a conditional release from service from your Guard unit. If you pass muster with the corps, your Guard unit should release you and off you go.
