SGT Private RallyPoint Member 4616872 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I re-enlisted recently and came down on orders for a job at Fort Benning as a cadre for MCOE, I wanted to know if I can still volunteer to recruit after some time at my new duty station (TRADOC) or would I need to go back to a FORSCOM unit? Can I volunteer to recruit even after a tradoc job? 2019-05-09T00:06:11-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 4616872 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I re-enlisted recently and came down on orders for a job at Fort Benning as a cadre for MCOE, I wanted to know if I can still volunteer to recruit after some time at my new duty station (TRADOC) or would I need to go back to a FORSCOM unit? You know, taste the pasture before fully committing! Call USAREC for further guidance. I had a blast at Benning as a Rifle Marksman instructor. You must have at least 36 months between TDA assignments and volunteering for recruiting duty has a high chance of getting denied due to that fact. On the bright side, the Army needs good recruiters and can wave the 36 month time frame. This is a double edged sword though. Being in a non-leadership role by MOS, you will fall behind your peers who have completed at least two positions in their CMF. This weighs against you when being selected for SFC. You can still make it but know the facts before volunteering.
