At school you need to ENSURE you are in compliance with Regs as published. I wouldn't recommend it.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 22 at 2018 12:47 PM2018-10-22T12:47:36-04:002018-10-22T12:47:36-04:00SGT Joseph Gunderson4065608<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I would imagine so. You didn't State type of school or what your TDY orders state . So unless you're TDY orders assign you to the training unit. It is assumed you are still assigned to your last unit , so in this case temporary badges can be worn, however many local unit's do not favor seeing temp badges from outside their unit's so keep it low-key , not like you can't put it back on when and if you return to the Ice box ...Response by SSG Harry Outcalt made Oct 22 at 2018 4:16 PM2018-10-22T16:16:30-04:002018-10-22T16:16:30-04:00SGT Tony Clifford4065934<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I imagine it depends on whether or not the school allows it. While you are TDY you are still assigned to your sending unit. You have not PCS'd and are entitled to wear the appurtaennances of your unit as if you were still on post in Alaska. That being said, if your boss at the TDY unit tells you to remove it, don't make a fuss. It will create more problems than its worth.Response by SSG Dale London made Oct 23 at 2018 10:36 PM2018-10-23T22:36:14-04:002018-10-23T22:36:14-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member4101219<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Your S-1 should draft up a memo after receiving your certificate of completion and it should state that you are only authorized to where it in the USARAK Footprint.
