Can I wear my individual unit's patch at AIT, being that I’m National Guard, or would I have to wear my state's patch?

Can I wear my individual units patch at AIT being I’m National Guard or would I have to wear my states patch ??

Depends on where you go to AIT at, here at Fort Eustis, 15 series are allowed to. Ask your Drill Sgt when you arrive to AIT, if they say yes call your unit and have them send you patches.

Not sure why ypu would want to wear your unit patch in AIT when they may most likely designate the U.S. ARMY patch on you but ask your drill sergeant. It's a rare chance but not impossible.

You should wear the patch of the unit you are assigned to. Then are you going to Active Duty AIT or to a National Guard RTI for MOSQ? At a National Guard RTI you wear your unit patch. If you are going to Active Duty AIT they may have a policy that has you wear the US Army patch. Check with the cadre when you arrive.

Depends on the AIT and if you're still RSP or not.

If you've battle handed off then wear your unit patch to signify you're with a unit but also expect out of yourself as well. That said, don't show off either.

Go in knowing the basics but also open minded to learn.

You can't wear your state's patch if your unit wears something different as the state's patch isn't your unit patch.

When I was 68W school they let us but no one had the actual balls to do that. Ask your DS they'll tell you

If you have orders assigning you to the 130 Attack Aviation BN then yes you should wear that patch. However, If you are assigned to the REP 63 replacement company, then you might have to wear the Hornet's nest patch. If I were in your position I would wear the 130 ATK BN patch. It's much coolers then the Hornet's nest. Hell's Guard!
