Can leave be revoked after it is already approved? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-leave-be-revoked-after-it-is-already-approved <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My boyfriend was approved for leave during the holidays. We bought plane tickets for him to go home and all. I just received an email during his underway with no significant details saying he may not be able to take his leave. Is the allowed? Can they revoke his leave after it is already approved? New to the navy world so any help is appreciated. Just make sure the revocation comes from the commander and not some in between first line leadership SFC Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 05 Dec 2019 22:14:24 -0500 2019-12-05T22:14:24-05:00 Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 6 at 2019 3:11 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-leave-be-revoked-after-it-is-already-approved?n=5312812&urlhash=5312812 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Also his leave may not have been revoked. There may be a risk of leaves being canceled and the command is letting people know. As SFC Jason Boyd stated, leaves aren&#39;t revoked without a legitimate reason signed off by a commander. They do not make the decision to cancel leave lightly and it SHOULD be a very rare occurrence. This is NOT something you should &quot;just have to get used to.&quot; If it DOES become routine within a certain Command, there are larger issues at play. Not an option Command teams prefer but sometimes missions call for all hands. <br />Not sure what Reg covers leaves and passes for the Navy but the Army uses AR 600-8-10 with ARs 350-1, 600-20 and a couple others that discuss leave and Commanders responsibilities. I recommend you ask a Chief what regs the Navy uses. <br />I can remember three instances in my 30 years when leaves were cancelled that effected me directly, The Panama invasion (we were on Ranger support cycle), The first Gulf War (all mid tour leaves in Korea cancelled and Soldiers stop lossed and extended), and Somalia (we cross leveled Soldiers from the 864th to the 43rd Engineers who were critically short).
