<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am going though the MEB proses and my CSM is asking a lot of questions about how far along I am. He’s not asking me directly he’s asking my 1SG and platoon sergeant. I have a feeling the CSM is going to try and stop it. Can he or anyone in my chain of command stop the MEB?Tue, 06 Apr 2021 18:36:22 -0400Can my chain of command stop or mess up my MEB?

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The entire NCO Support Channel and Chain of Command should be tracking your MEB. He is likely asking just so he knows your status. Remember that the CSM is responsible for your health and welfare, and is also responsible for making sure you get the proper care AND the proper training within your medical limits. It is incumbent upon him to know what your status is, as well as your limitations. And... when the time comes, he is also responsible for making sure you get out of the Army without a hitch AND replaces you in a timely manner.<br /><br />Don't read into it. CSM is just doing his job.SFC Casey O'MallyTue, 06 Apr 2021 19:01:44 -04002021-04-06T19:01:44-04:00Response by SSgt Christophe Murphy made Apr 6 at 2021 8:54 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Can leadership ask about the process? Sure. Can they stop a MEB? No. The only input they will have is submitting the non medical assessment but that is more a character statement than anything else. Military leadership hate MEB's because the process is out of their realm but the results impact what they do. <br /><br />Stay as positive as you can and work very closely with the PEBLO office, limdu coordinator and your case manager.SSgt Christophe MurphyTue, 06 Apr 2021 20:54:22 -04002021-04-06T20:54:22-04:00Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 6 at 2021 11:56 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have seen this happen before. I have had to track several Soldiers about their MEB. The issue is that sometimes the Providers are not given the information so they don't know where you are in the process. There are regulations on the timeline of the MEB. They are most likely making sure that is it happening in a timely manner.CPT Private RallyPoint MemberTue, 06 Apr 2021 23:56:01 -04002021-04-06T23:56:01-04:00Response by CSM Darieus ZaGara made Apr 7 at 2021 5:42 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Your CSM is simply tracking your progress, he and the BN Cdr. receive weekly updates during staff call, the fact that he is inquiring is a positive thing. Whether he is encouraging/coaching your COC, or simply thinks you are worth the extra effort. Stop an MEB, not at all, there is only negative effect that would come from a COC trying to influence the process.CSM Darieus ZaGaraWed, 07 Apr 2021 05:42:48 -04002021-04-07T05:42:48-04:00Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 7 at 2021 3:45 PM
