I am on ABCP, shame on me, I know.
I am on my way out for a Medical chapter 5-17. Batallion Commander approved me for the HBI transition class (12 week carpentry and electrical) and ive been in it for two weeks now. My leadership seems upset that I'm away and I get the impression some are looking for reasons to get me dropped and out of the Army before the 12 week transition class is over. This would put myself and my family in a bad way.

So, they want me to come in for height/weight next week. I dont see it going well.
My questions are:
Can they still do ht/wt while im signed away from the company for 12 weeks? (instructor says im basically tdy)
If i bust tape, can they drop me from a transition class? I know they need BC signature to drop me from the class.
All i want to do is finish this class, get my carpentry and electrical certs to better my civilian future, and clear/gtfo.
Hbi instructor is pushing me to speak with an ombudsman.

I appreciate the feedback.
My thoughts about my command were derived from what I was told by my NCOs. I've always been right time, right place, right uniform. However, having been on profile for nearly 11 months and getting the ch 5.17 since my condition hasnt improved with phys thpy, its been stated in many cases (including outloud in formation by the PSG) that I am "useless". A fair assessment, my profile is nearly dead man's, but still unprofessional. Anyway, it was mentioned to me by my squad leader that the 1sgt was upset about me taking up a roster spot while attending the class when they could push me out quicker to fill it. It was after hearing this that I started hearing about a bunch of clearing things, CIF turn in, and ht/wt from ABCP that was being pushed to be done quickly. It just all seemed to point towards "get him out asap". Like CSM mentioned though, that is just my interpretation. Thanks for the replies.
