SPC Private RallyPoint Member6810056

I recently joined the reserves from the IRR with no flags. On DTMS my last record APFT is Green and passed with a date from 2016. My current unit had previously mentioned administering an APFT for those that need it. From my understanding those with a failing record APFT are the only eligible to take the APFT. I can’t find info on those with an expired APFT. I have been training for the ACFT and left the APFT in the past. Though I don’t mind taking the APFT again I really don’t want to. Does my unit have the right to make me take a record APFT or is the new ACFT my new PT Test? ThanksCan my unit make me take an APFT vs ACFT?2021-03-09T20:00:10-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member6810056

I recently joined the reserves from the IRR with no flags. Something along those lines.

Considering you don't have a current APFT...they could have you take one. Go to HRC and look through the MILPER messages. You have to log in with CAC. Or MilSuite has ALARACTs I think. I don't feel like getting my CAC reader out to look it up for you right now.

If you can do the ACFT, you can do the APFT. C'mon.

ACFTs are just diagnostic right now basically.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 9 at 2021 9:20 PM2021-03-09T21:20:47-05:002021-03-09T21:20:47-05:00SGM Private RallyPoint Member6810300

I am just going of the information you provided...last APFT 2016? The directives were...if you have a failing Record APFT before the switch over, then you take the APFT IOT to get unflagged then you convert to the ACFT. Since your last APFT was before the switch and you passed...they could have you take the ACFT. It's going to be up to them.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 10 at 2021 12:17 AM2021-03-10T00:17:57-05:002021-03-10T00:17:57-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member6810683

If I am not mistaken:

Passing APFT is good until March 2022.
