Can Non-Resident courses count to fill College Class requirements?

Can Military Non-resident courses completed count towards filling actual college requirements, depending on the course/class? (ex:Math, English etc.,)?

Yes. I only had 3 U/L "resident" (online) credits for my BS. I had ZERO for my AS.

I used several MCI (Distance Learning) credits.

It really depends on the college that you are trying to go to even if they count for credit not all schools except all credits.

Most of the military courses that are ACE will only be counted towards your electives, which is usually 12-18 credit according to your program plans. Courses such as English (writing), Math (logic/statistic), Philosophy, Science, and other major classes that is required for your program will not be accredited. At least, that's what I experienced from pursuing my BAS in Information Techonlogy.

Do you mean the NRTC's like the rate courses and exam bib's? If so, as many as I've done they count for nothing but eval fluffing and exam studying. They count for reserve retirement points, but only if you're in the reserves. Any done while active don't count.

In general they will not. What you can do though is use the course to prep for a Clep exam.

Navy correspondents courses don't. However, Marine Corps Institute (MCI) courses will count for lower elective college credits. Some of the Army correspondence courses also count towards college credits and some will even apply towards certification. Navy is WAAAAYYYYY behind the curve on this.

No, they do not, but... If you learn the subject well, you can take a College Level Exam Program (CLEP) Test in almost all, in not all, accredited colleges in the US. CLEP tests count 100% towards fulfilling your college requirements.

Elaborate, if you can...what major are you? Associates? Bachelors? Grades? GPAs? Were the non-res courses done by closed-book exam? I obv agree with calling Amer Council on Educ (ACE) for the mil/vet ofc and asking them...also, did you get an ACE or DANTES transcript? Have you used CLEP at all thus far?

Very reputable, was part of NYS govt, then privatized, I got a 2nd bach in math through them, a friend got his bach in math as well, and went Navy OCS using it, trust me, call them, OK? They have their own exam program, and are well known to the services, honest....

This isn't regionally accredited, however, it's recognized by DEAC/DETC, which is Federally recognized, I have no clue if it'd be accepted by VA, the services, or industry, I've read a good deal that's good about them, they charge no tuition, other than admin and exam fees, pro-rated by per capita income in a given country, their main offices are in Calif, you might care to look into them, however, ASK before you'd go with them, to be ABSOLUTELY sure, BEFORE you'd do their programs, I merely mention it as a possibility, I am absolutely NOT sure if it'd be something useful for your purpose, OK?
