Can PCS orders for a priority one assignment be deferred by losing unit?

I am on orders to a SOCOM unit, my LUIC is putting in a deferment request to HRC due to an upcoming training event. How likely is it that this will be approved?

Just my opinion but I would think it would depend on the SOCOM unit your going to and there current mission. There are a lot of different SOCOM Units out there. The best advise I would give you would be to personally call your Branch Manager and ask them.

Also my thought is, why submit a deferment for a simple training event? Seems like they are either short or cant lose you and now causing issues for you in requesting the deferment.

Damn unlikely in my mind- unit and are working on the needs of the service not just 1 unit.s are "outranked" by branch
