Can ROTC cadet contract in summer?

I am a ROTC cadet who is waiting on naturalization certificate which I will probably get after spring semester. Is it possible to contract in summer.

Is there a monetary advantage to contracting for your last year? Your profile says National Guard, are you presently doing Simultaneous Membership? Has your Reserve GI Bill ran out?

You cannot contract when school is out of session. However, you can complete all the requirements and have everything ready to go one first day of the semester. That way you will maximize your stipend.

Suggestion, when you get your naturalization document the certificate number is all you need to provide. The certificate is forbidden to be copied or a photo of it. And get a US passport when you have the certificate that is easier to carry and proof of citizenship. On the passport application is a block for the number on your certificate. Keep the certificate in a secure place like a bank safety deposit box. They are hard to get replaced.

The only way you can is if all your paperwork is complete and the PMS (LTC) is there to swear you in. Most Cadre leave for Cadet Summer Training and are unavailable during the summer.

Congratulations! You need to keep in touch with your ROTC Detachment. When it comes through, contact the Detachment and get instructions. It might be possible for you to get contracted if there is an authorized person who will work with you. The other possibility is for you to get contracted upon return to classes, in the next term.
