Well I went in tha Army Reserve, I went from 0811 to 88L (Watercraft Engineer ) i retained E3 for a little while then got promoted to E4, but as far as responsibility they were prety much the same.
Oh, and I didn't have to go to their boot camp.
And when I went to school they had me in the barracks with the other newbies, then they move me to a room with an NCO.

I assume that we share the same equipment so it all should be the same maybe just different approach to training. Talking from experience of being around two cannons on my FOB back in 2010 and them firing 155's. Fantastic experience.

Appreciate the responses. My situation is quite unique. Did 9.5 years as a marine in both active and reserve components. Just made a dipshit decision of going air force, they stripped me of two ranks and haven't carried forward any of my reserve time. In essence I'm trying to make a jump to army and get back into a position and be at a level of success similar to where I came from. Through the marines I have already attended ATS which is the equivalent of ALC for 13b. Haven't yet confirmed if the PME carries forward, but have been told by prior service accessions that i would have to come in as an E4 since signing the contract with the air force waived my e6 pay grade from the marines. Other option I'm aggressively looking into is the CWO program

I find it hard to believe that i would be able to walk into a cannon unit and get put into a position right off the bat to be able to exercise my section chief experience and skill sets that the E6 section chiefs would be utilizing since I'd be a "little e4 specialist". Just find it somewhat comical that as a specialist with all the E6 certs. For m777s that i wouldn't be used besides just being another body on the gun in the field.. with that said.. does anyone have any credible information on CWO?
